Hiring the best people and creating a positive culture takes constant work and attention.
Although I wasn’t interviewed by the founder of my company what Bijan says here rings very true with me. I am fortunate to have been interviewed by some of the best people at my organization who clearly articulated our culture to me. Now that I have the responsibility of interviewing some of our perspective hires I try to find the people who would be best suited to the positions we seek to fill in our teams.
My friend @cash_n and I have often discussed that finding a “fit” between the organization and the individual is the most difficult and important key for hiring the “best” people. It takes work to find the best fit but as Bijan said, “it’s worth every minute you put into it.”
